Washington Nations Star pitcher Max Scherzer earned his 3rd Cy Young award Wednesday – for the second year in a row. It was a landslide victory, drawing 27 of the 30 first place votes.
The 33 year-old becomes the 10th pitcher in history to win 3 Cy Young awards, 6 of those pitchers have already been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Scherzer ended the 2017 season with 16 wins, a .251 ERA, and 268 strikeouts. The Nationals season ended after they were eliminated by the Chicago Cubs in the National League Division Series.
