The Yankees announced Tuesday that Aaron Judge had successful shoulder surgery the day prior. The news was a surprise to many, as the Yankees organization kept it under wraps until the following day. Aaron Judge underwent arthroscopic surgery Monday in Los Angeles, the surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache – which involved a loose-body removal and cartilage cleanup.
After coming within a game of the World Series, Yankees star outfielder will be looking to take his team to the next level this coming 2018 season. The 2017 American League Rookie of the Year – who led the American League in HRs, Runs, and Walks finished 2nd in the MVP Voting behind World Series Champion Jose Altuve.
Judge is expected to make a full recovery this off-season before arriving at Spring Training in Tampa. Position players are set to arrive February 18. The Yankees first Spring Training game is on February 23.
