Eagles second year Quarterback Carson Wentz was forced to leave Sunday’s game in Los Angeles with an apparent knee injury.
The Eagles were threatening in the red-zone late in the third quarter when Carson Wentz couldn’t find an open receiver he made a dash for the endzone – that’s when he was hit hard by two Rams defenders, both shots were below his waist. The touchdown was called back due to a holding call but the Eagles would go on to score a few plays later on a Wentz pass to Alshon Jefferey on fourth down.
That would be the last play of the game for Wentz, he would not return for Philadelphia’s next drive.
The only clear details known are that the injury is to his left knee. He was ruled out rather quickly by the Eagles staff so there is reason to believe it may be something major.
Will continue to follow this story and give updates as soon more information is released.
