Pittsburg Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown suffered a lower leg injury after being hit in the middle of the endzone in Sunday’s home matchup against the New England Patriots.
Ian Rapoport tweeted:
Antonio Brown is hobbling badly on the sideline. Not putting any weight on his leg. He was being held up by two people.
The Pittsburg crowd cheered “MVP” as trainers helped Brown off the field. The Pittsburg Steelers account verified that Brown had sustained an injury to his left calf, and that his return would be questionable.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted out:
“Antonio Brown on way to hospital. Sounds more serious than team initially said.”
Antonio Brown is currently in the running for league MVP — losing the star wide receiver would be a huge blow to Pittsburgh as they approach the playoffs.
