When it was announced that Aaron Rodgers would be making his return to the field on Sunday Packer nation went wild. Though the playoffs were a long-shot, knowing that the best player in the NFL would be back on the field definitely boosted the Pack’s chances at a playoff run.
Unfortunately for Green Bay – those hopes went down the drain Sunday afternoon as the Pack fell to the Panthers by a final score of 31-24.
In his return Aaron Rodgers went 26/45 in pass attempts, that resulted in three touchdowns and three interceptions.
“I felt pretty good. I just missed some throws but the shoulder felt fine. Felt good all week in practice.” – Aaron Rodgers said in his post game interview.
The Packers only shot at winning a Wild Card spot was to win out. They will face the Minnesota Vikings in week 16 – who secured their playoff spot as well as clinched the NFC North title Sunday.
The Pack will travel to Detroit for their final game of the season to take on the Detroit Lions where Green Bay will have a chance to play spoilers as the Lions continue to chase an NFC Wild Card spot.
