Packers Place Aaron Rodgers On Injured-Reserve, Sign QB Joe Callahan

The Green Bay Packers have added quarterback Joe Callahan to their 53 man roster and placed starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the injured reserve list following Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers – which eliminated them from playoff contention.

Callahan spent time with the Packers practice squad early on in the 2017 season before being signed to Green Bay’s active roster on October 16. He was then released by the team on December 16 to make room for Rodgers to return.

The Packers will host the Minnesota Vikings Saturday – and then travel to Detroit the following Sunday to take on the Lions for their final game of the season.
