LaVar Ball said Wednesday that he plans to start a league that will pay nationally ranked players who graduate high school – but don’t want to attend college.
The Big Baller Brand CEO said that his league would play the lowest ranked player a salary of $3,000 a month — and the highest ranked players would top out at $10,000 a month.
Ball told ESPN he is looking for around 80 players to fill 10 teams — which would likely play in NBA arenas in select cities around the United States.
The league would be sponsored by the Big Baller Brand — wearing only BBB shoes and each jersey would don the “triple B” logo.
LaVar also told reporters that the league would not feature his two youngest sons’ — LiAngelo and LeMelo, who have already signed with a team in Lithuania. But the logo for the league would be a silhouette of his oldest son, Lonzo Ball, going to the rim for a dunk.
